ACP drives conservation progress at the local, state, federal, and international levels through coordinated advocacy and direct access to key decision makers. Our unified voice elevates aquariums as essential conservation leaders. This month, we launched our first-ever policy fellowship—bringing on 10 multigenerational fellows from across both red and blue states to help shape the future of aquatic conservation.

Aquariums are among the most trusted science-backed institutions in the country, uniquely positioned to inspire hope and action. Together, our 35 member aquariums engage more than 40 million in-person visitors each year, empowering the public to participate in meaningful conservation solutions.

ACP members “walk the talk” by setting ambitious, sector-wide sustainability goals including achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, eliminating single-use plastic across operations, and sourcing sustainable seafood for the animals in our care. Collectively, our members have eliminated millions of pieces of single-use plastic from entering the waste stream over the past 8 years, demonstrating what is possible when an entire industry commits to change.
